The 200mm f4.5 model is ideal for the user who requires a wider field with a leaning towards CCD work on Deep Sky. Excellent views are also possible on planetary and lunar subjects but the SPX200 f4.5 excells on Deep sky. We have developed the SPX range purely because of the tremendous number of experienced observers who have asked us to build custom high quality systems for them. We took all the features customers asked for and have integrated the most important ones in the SPX range.
We have considered everything in achieving superlative performance. Image quality is both excellent and consistent, one aspect has been to utilise as small as possible a secondary mirror size to enable minimum obstruction without any undue reduction in field of view.
