Everything has been considered to achieve optimised optical and mechanical excellence.
The 200mm f8 model is designed for predominantly planetary and lunar use.
The long focal length and small secondary obstruction, coupled with 1/8 or 1/10PV wavefront optics, ensure that images way beyond expectation, are guaranteed. We have developed the SPX range purely because of the tremendous number of experienced observers who have asked us to build custom high quality systems for them. We took all the features customers asked for and haveintegrated the most important ones in the SPX range. We have spared nothing in achieving superlative performance.
Image quality is both excellent and consistent, one aspect has been to utilise as small as possible a secondary mirror size to enable minimum obstruction without any undue reduction in field of view.
Take this opportunity and really see what’s up there.
