We manufacture four grades of Optics, our Standard range which has a guaranteed accuracy of 1/4 PV wavefront and will give excellent views of all astronomical subjects.
Our Professional Grade which has a guaranteed wavefront accuracy of 1/6PV wavefront and our Research Grade which is 1/8th PV wavefront. Finally, our Ultra range has Strehl values typically around 99% with RMS values of the order of 0.02PV. Coupled with a guaranteed PV wavefront error so small, it often is less than 1/10PV wavefront.

Orion 'the Hunter'
A major constellation, Orion represents the figure of a hunter from Greek mythology. Not only is 'The Hunter' amazingly large and beautiful, but it can also be used to find some of the most stunning stars in the sky. Orion is one of the most familiar constellations, and the easiest to find. It is probably the most prominent of the constellations in the Northern Hemisphere's winter and only second to Ursa Major 'The Plough' on the 'instantly recognisable' scale. In countries south of the equator, Orion appears upside-down in the sky.

The Myth
According to mythology, Orion was one of the greatest hunters the world had ever seen. There are two versions of the Orion story . . .
In the first version, he was the son of the sea-god Poseidon (Neptune) and Queen Euryale of the Amazons. He inherited his mother's hunting talent and became an excellent hunter. Unfortunately, his ego was to be his undoing. In response to his boast that he could kill any animal in the world, he was killed by a scorpion.
In the second version, he was first blinded by King Oenopian and then killed by Diana who was the 'virgin' goddess of hunting. She fell in love with Orion but her brother, Apollo, did not like this, and subsequently tricked her into shooting a black 'animal' swimming in the water - which, alas, turned out to be Orion's hair.
